Madsen M/20 information

Hey guys! Popped in here a while back about P-series Mosins and now I am looking for information about the Madsen M/20. I am curious to see if any of you guys out in Finland have ever heard of or seen a Madsen M/20 LMG. I am guessing it is a really, really long shot but I am also curious if anyone h...

Re: Finnish P-series survey

I can't believe the last time I posted on this forum was 4 years ago! Damn! Hey Finns, just popping back in to bump this thread and get some interest in P-series Mosins going again. I have expanded my database of P-series Mosins from under 100 to 216 and counting! I love it! Among the interesting on...

Re: Why was Finnish rifle production so varied?

Is there any real reason why these rifles were marked so differently and/or without a real consistent pattern? Just my two cents: A young nation (and army), everything has not been fully standardized and everyone not found their place, a lot of material is being repaired and re-used, all this with ...

Re: Why was Finnish rifle production so varied?

I almost forgot to include photos of my P-series rifles! This is my restored P-26. The rifle was bought without a stock and then mated to a correct stock set I found on Gunboards.com http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r369/calgunfun2/th_myp-26.jpg This is a picture of my P-27 when I first got it. So...

Why was Finnish rifle production so varied?

So I have been collecting data from multiple forums and other internet sites in an attempt to piece together a comprehensive list of data regarding the Finnish P-series of rifles. In the process, I have discovered that the way these rifles were produced or marked is seemingly erratic. Is there any r...

Re: Finnish P-series survey

Yes, that is interesting. However, there are a few issues. According to another site that quoted Markku Palokangas, 350 barrels were made in 1925 and about 1/2 of them were accepted. According to the original Gunboards survey of the P-series, the P-26 began at serial 178 while the lowest serial I ha...

Re: Finnish P-series

Those are beautiful p-series rifles! When I get all of mine together I will be sure to post some photos Now, one guy over on this thread said he has seen a p-25. For some reason, no onethat owns one of these rifles has posted any photos. Seeing as how I will most likely never see one of these rifles...

Hey everyone! My name is Nathan and I am way across the pond in San Diego, California, United States.
